“Oruk-ene” wins award at Moinho Cine Fest in Portugal.

Ibadylla Adzhibaev, a filmmaker from Bishkek and a long-time collaborator of CEE CA SEC, received an award for his film “Oruk-ene” at the Moinho Cine Fest in Portugal. The recognition highlights the growing presence of Central Asian cinema on the global stage and underscores the importance of supporting regional storytellers and cultural voices.

Team engages in discussions on accessibility, inclusion, and collaboration in the film industry.

CEE CA SEC launches field visit for From Sea to Sand project

Working trip to Nukus and Muynak focused on partnerships and cultural dialogue.

From March 30 to April 1, CEE CA SEC and Golden Heritage of Aral conducted a field visit in Nukus and Muynak to initiate preparations for the “From Sea to Sand” project. Meetings brought together initiative groups, artists, cultural figures, ecologists, scientists and regional authorities to discuss the Aral Sea crisis and cultural heritage preservation.

CEE CA SEC supports the Engage H2O Summer Camp

Two-stage program empowers young filmmakers to explore water issues through documentary storytelling.

CEE CA SEC supported the implementation of the Engage H2O summer camp in Kosonsoy and Khonjiza, Uzbekistan. Participants completed the full creative cycle from research and filming to editing, producing 5 photo stories and 20 short documentary films focused on water scarcity and environmental challenges.
